  • Competition is open to EVERYONE
  • Contestants will furnish ingredients, utensils, ice cream freezers (manual or electric - extension cords), cups and spoons for tasting, a table for display, and rock salt. Ice will be provided.
  • All recipes must contain REAL dairy products. No raw eggs and/or raw milk are allowed in the final product.
  • Ice cream mix must be made ahead and kept chilled until churn-off begins.
  • Entries will be judged on flavor, texture, originality and presentation of the final product.
  • Contestants will be required to taste their finished product before judging begins.
  • Contestants must arrive at the fairgrounds by 5:00 pm, Friday, September 19th. Churning will begin at 5:30 pm.
  • Judging will begin at 7:00 p.m. A first and second place winner will be determined for each category - youth and adult. Winners will be determined by crowd appeal - spectators will sample the ice cream and vote with pocket change for their favorite! 1st place - $75, 2nd place - $50, 3rd place - $25.
